Chalet Timothy ...
Situated in the pretty, unspoilt village of Samoens, Chalet Timothy is a great choice for a group who want to make the most of the mountains sports and all of the facilities that this resort can offer. And at the end of the day, the hot tub is the perfect place to relax.
Despite its peaceful rural location, there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the traffic-free centre of the village, where narrow streets lead off the main square with its traditional church and fountain. There’s a free shuttle bus every 20 minutes in the season, which will take you to the pistes at Morillon and Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval.
The village has all the shops you are likely to need during your holiday - delis, supermarkets and bakeries, as well as gift shops, ski and bike rental.
Part of the Grand Massif ski area, Samoens has links to more than 265km of pistes and a great lift network. There's still plenty to do when the snow melts with hiking and biking trails, as well as a treetop adventure park, whitewater rafting and a range of sports facilities at the Lac aux Dames leisure centre.
About the property ...
Chalet Timothy is a comfortable three-storey chalet for 12 guests in six bedrooms, with three shower rooms.
From the front door you'll come into the hall, with a WC to one side and a small library to the other. A few stairs bring you into the split-level living area, with sofas and chairs arranged around the TV and a wood burning stove. Next to this is a bar area with another sofa, where you can get together for drinks before dinner, and a door to the balcony.
The bright and airy kitchen has everything you need to cook up a hearty meal, and there's a dishwasher to make the clearing away easier. The dining table is positioned in front of the doors to the balcony, to make the most of the light. In good weather, this furnished terrace is a great place to enjoy an al fresco meal. The outdoor hot tub has been tucked into a private corner so that you can relax without being overlooked, and there's a brick-built barbecue/pizza oven..
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, both with large double beds (160cm). One also has a shower and a WC. There's also a playroom on this floor, with a sofa, TV, table football and a laundry area.
The remaining four bedrooms are on the first floor. Three are double rooms, each with 160cms beds, and the fourth has twin beds. These rooms share two shower rooms and two separate WCs. The spacious landing has cupboards, a desk and doors to a balcony.
As well as two terraces and a balcony, there's a large open garden in front of Chalet Timothy.
There's plenty of parking at Chalet Timothy.

The OVO Network Review
Chalet Timothy is a three-storey chalet for 12 guests, with six bedrooms and three shower rooms. It's set on a spacious plot with plenty of parking, just a short stroll from the centre of the delightful mountain resort of Samoens.
With a cosy seating area as well as a bar with more seating, and a playroom with a TV and table football, there's plenty of room for everyone to find their own space. Outside, there are two terraces, a balcony and a large open plot where children can play - while the adults supervise from the hot tub!
Although the main living area is open-plan, some changes in level give separation to the different areas. However, this may make the property unsuitable for those with limited mobility.
There's plenty of parking outside Chalet Timothy, but with the shops, bars and restaurants of this village centre just a short walk away, you don't need to be dependent on your car.

From the owner
Yvon & Mathias
We discovered Samoëns many years ago and fell head over heels in love with it!
You'll find a multitude of activities, both in summer and winter, as well as a picturesque village in a large domaine with all the activities of a big resort.
Our chalet, in the centre of the village, is a fantastic place to spend time with the whole family. Its size, its proximity to all the activities and the fact that you don't need to rely on your car won us over and made our holidays magical.
We hope you like it as much as we do and that you feel at home here.
We wish you a wonderful holiday,
Yvon and Mathias

“It is a great chalet”
It is a great chalet in a peaceful location but close enough to shops and the town to walk. The chalet concierge was the best!
