Chalet La Parenthèse...
After a wonderful day exploring the French Alps, relax in the hot tub or the sauna before dinner, or get together for a film in the home cinema of this spacious and elegant chalet.
With nine bedrooms and seven bath/shower rooms, there's more than enough room for 15 guests, but the owners wanted to keep capacity lower so that everyone has the luxury of their own space.
Chalet La Parenthèse is set just outside the Grand Massif ski station of Samoëns (4km), which has links to more than 265km of pistes and a great lift network. There's still plenty to do when the snow melts, with hiking and biking trails, as well as a treetop adventure park, whitewater rafting and a range of sports facilities at the Lac aux Dames leisure centre.
And if you don't fancy cooking in the evening, you could dine out at one of the restaurants around the pretty, traffic-free square in Samoëns.
The village has all the shops you are likely to need during your holiday – delis, butchers and bakeries, as well as gift shops, ski and bike rental, and a large supermarket. You will also find a bus stops just 50m from Chalet La Parenthèse, which will take you straight into the centre of the village.
About the property...
Chalet Parenthese welcomes up to 15 guests, with five main bedrooms and six bath/shower rooms.
You'll find five bedrooms on the top floor. There are two double rooms with desk areas, and two more double rooms which can each be arranged with large double beds or two singles. All of these rooms have desks and balconies, and two also has an en-suite shower room. The final room is a children's room, which has three sets of bunk beds to sleep six. You'll also find a separate bathroom and a shower room on this floor as well as a playroom and the luxurious cinema room – grab your snacks and get together on the huge sofa and beanbags for a night at the movies!
The spacious living room on the first floor is divided by a central fireplace. On one side is the lounge, furnished with a huge, comfortable sofa, armchairs with footrests and doors leading out on to the terrace. On the other is a dining room with an imposing table and a large kitchen with two ovens, an induction hob, two ovens and a wine store.
There are two bedrooms on this floor, both with large double beds, en-suite shower rooms with WCs, and private balconies. All of the bedrooms at Chalet La Parenthèse are beautifully decorated in soothing earthy tones.
There are two extra double bedrooms on the ground floor, which share a shower room. Both can be arranged with large double beds or two single beds, and have access to a terrace. These bedrooms are not included in the maximum capacity of 15, but if you would like to use them so that your group can spread out a little, please inquire at the time of booking.
Also on the ground floor is the fabulous wellness area with a sauna and shower room, relaxation area and exercise equipment. Doors open from here on to the hot tub terrace. There's also a ski room with a heated boot rack and the laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.
As well as the sunny terrace and balconies, Chalet La Parenthèse has a level garden where children can play safely. There is parking for two cars in the garage, which has an electrical point for charging electric vehicles, and three more cars outside. The garage also has storage for skis and bikes.

There are two double bedrooms on the first floor, each with a balcony, desk area and en-suite shower room. Five more bedrooms can be found on the top floor: two double rooms with desk and balconies; two rooms which can be arranged with large double beds or two single beds, also with balconies and desks (one also has an en-suite shower room) and a bunk room for up to six children.
You'll also find a separate shower room and a bathroom on this floor.

There's no shortage of communal space either. The large kitchen makes cooking for a crowd a delight, and there's a huge dining table where you can all eat together – although in good weather you might prefer to eat on the sunny terrace.
On cold winter evenings, there's no place better than the huge squishy sofa in front of the fire, unless, of course, you'd prefer to watch a film on the huge squishy sofa in the cinema room! There's also a games room where children of all ages can let off steam.
The sauna and wellness area can be found on the ground floor, along with a ski store, laundry room and WC. There's more storage for skis and bikes in the garage, which has an electrical socket and spaces for two cars.
There are three more parking spaces in front of the garage.
If you can bear to leave this wonderful home, you'll find the pretty village of Samoëns just 4 km away. If you don't want to drive, take the bus, which stops just 50m from your door.
This Grand Massif resort has links to 265km of pistes and a great lift network, and in summer, hikers and bikers will be spoilt for choice of marked trails.
