About the property ... 

The stylish accommodation at The One Chalet is set over two floors in the main house as well as the linked "mazot" or former outbuilding.

On the ground floor you'll find the wonderful indoor pool and sauna with a shower and a separate WC. There are also two double bedrooms, one with access to a terrace, which are connected by a shared bathroom.

The main living area is on the first floor. There are two large seating area with comfortable sofas, as well as other areas with chairs and tables, perfect whether you want to all get together or socialise in smaller groups. The chalet is equipped with very high-speed Wi Fi (Fibre), connected TV (My Canal, Disney+, Netflix etc), and a Sonos sound system. Doors open on to balconies on three sides of this light-filled space, so you're never far from a wonderful view.

If you'd like to work remotely during your stay in the Portes du Soleil, there's a useful office area on this floor. There's also a double bedroom with a bathroom off the dining area and an extra bunk room for two, which does not form part of the total bed count.

The sleek, modern kitchen makes cooking a real pleasure, and there's a central island and breakfast bar where you can grab a quick snack before heading out for the day. It also makes the kitchen a very sociable space to prepare your meal. Look out for the glass floor which overlooks the pool below!

The kitchen links the living area with the dining room, where there's room for everyone to enjoy dinner together and share memories of the day.

The remaining two bedrooms can be found in the separate mazot - there's a large double bedroom with a terrace and a separate bathroom, and another room with three single beds, an en suite shower room and a balcony. These rooms make the mazot an ideal space for a family who would like some independence.

There's plenty of parking outside the chalet, as well as a large garage for two cars and a ski room.

About the area ... 

The chalet is less than a kilometre from the pistes and 450m from the ski bus, so you can be in the heart of the Portes du Soleil in no time at all. The region’s 12 ski resorts offer 650km of slopes and almost 200 lifts, so there is plenty of choice for skiers and boarders of all abilities.

This winter sports paradise crosses the border into Switzerland - experienced skiers will enjoy the challenge of the infamous Swiss Wall, one of the fastest descents on any piste map. If you’re not a skier, and you manage to tear yourself away from the sauna and pool at The One Chalet, Morzine also offers indoor and outdoor ice skating rinks, which are often host to ice hockey matches.

The more adventurous might like to try snowmobiling or tandem paragliding, or discover the area in a more sedate manner on a sleigh ride. Other ways to have fun include snowshoeing and sledging, while the Indiana adventure park in Morzine offers a variety of activities for all ages.

There’s just as much going on in Morzine in the summer as in the winter. The slopes and mountain trails become a paradise for mountain bikers - put your bike on the ski lift to go up the mountains and save your energy for the adrenalin-filled descent.Walkers can take advantage of the lifts too, to discover high-altitude trails and stunning views.

Morzine has earned Famille Plus status for its excellent childcare and entertainment — perfect for young families.  You can also take advantage of the Portes du Soleil Multi Pass, offering unrestricted access to the full range of family activities.

Both Morzine and neighbouring Avoriaz have great water parks and two summer sledging runs. The Indiana adventure park offers a range of assault courses to suit all ages, and other activities include climbing, rafting, via ferrata, canyoning, mini-golf, quad bikes, fishing, kayaking and hiking.

Small children (and big kids!) will love the village of Les Lindarets, where goats wander freely — it’s a great place to stop for lunch too.
