About the property…

Lodge Le Nordic is a detached, three-storey property in the heart of a charming group of chalets on the outskirts of Morzine. With four bedrooms and five bathrooms, it sleeps up to 10 people (or 12 people ready to compromise on space), providing the perfect setting for a holiday with family or friends.

When you enter the chalet, you can leave your outdoor gear in the entrance hall, which doubles as a ski room with a heated boot dryer. You'll also find a WC. The spacious living area includes a dining area with a large table, as well as a modern kitchen with an oven, induction hob and coffee machine. This inviting space, with a wood pellet stove and TV, opens onto a spacious terrace with a bar, sun beds and an outdoor hot tub.

The first bedroom, which has a double bed and en-suite shower room, is on this level. There are three more bedrooms on the upper floor. Two of the rooms can be arranged with a large double bed or two single beds. These rooms also have TVs, en-suite shower rooms and doors to the balcony. The third room is a children’s room with a TV and two sets of bunk beds, sleeping four. Finally, an extra double bed has been installed on a small mezzanine area, allowing two additional guests to join your group if you are ready to compromise on space. You will find a separate bathroom and WC on this level as well.

There’s a sitting room in the basement, with a large screen TV and a huge corner sofa, where guests can get together to play games or watch a film. Next door is the sauna and shower area, as well as a laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. There is also a separate storage area for your bicycles.

About the area…

The superb location of Lodge Le Nordic gives you access to all 12 resorts in the Portes du Soleil ski area. It's also just a short drive from Morzine and Les Gets.

With 650km of pistes for all abilities, almost 200 lifts and plenty of ski touring options, the Portes du Soleil is a winter sports paradise. The ski area extends into Switzerland, so you can ski all the way there. Be warned, however, that the crossing can be tricky and requires the services of a mountain guide.

For those who don't ski, Morzine offers many other winter activities: ice skating (indoor and outdoor), snowmobiling, ice climbing, tobogganing and, of course, snowshoeing and sleigh rides.

Once the snow has melted, the slopes around Morzine and Montriond become a popular playground for hikers and mountain bikers. Many of the lifts continue to operate even in summer, so you can take the easy way up and come down at your own pace.

Morzine-Avoriaz has been awarded the “Famille Plus” label for its programme of activities and facilities for children. The Indiana Parc offers tree climbing, rafting and many other activities for all ages, and there's canoeing and paddle-boarding on Lac Montriond.

On quieter days, you can pack a picnic and enjoy the region's many viewpoints, or discover Savoyard produce with a visit to a cheese factory or farmers' market.
