The OVO Network Review
Chalet Vivaldaim is a three-storey chalet for up to 15 guests, with seven en suite bedrooms. We love the quiet location on the edge of a forest and bordered by a stream, and with a large garden complete with a slide, it's a great choice for families.
Children of all ages will appreciate the games room on the ground floor, which has its own kitchen - they can help themselves to snacks and drinks, and teenagers can even cook up a pizza for their own film night.
The individually-designed bedrooms all have their own bathrooms and are spread over three floors - if you are a group of several families you could take a floor each, or alternatively, you could have an adult/children divide!
The main living area is bright and spacious, and the well-equipped kitchen even has a steam oven. The outside seating area is a great place to enjoy some fresh air - it's shady in the summer and sheltered in the winter, when you can take out blankets and enjoy sitting under the stars.
The owners of the chalet have converted the small chalet next to the property, which they are keeping for their own use but the properties are totally separate and there are plans to separate the gardens in the future, so you will have your privacy.

From the owner
Bérengère & Guillaume
Jeanne, Gabin and I fell in love with this cosy traditional chalet on the edge of the Bérengère woods - for us, this place reflected so much beauty. Combining simplicity, authenticity, warmth and light, we designed this space to capture the serenity that we found on that first visit.
This old farm, which has been here for over a century, has now become a chalet, thanks to extensive renovation and design work by the former owners. Built with huge beams of burnished wood set on stone, this chalet and its neighbours embody the remarkable character of the Grand Marvel hamlet.
On the edge of the woods, sitting on the terrace, in the Nordic hot tub or in the sauna, all your senses are alive to the nature that surrounds you - the gentle babbling of the stream, the rustling of the leaves on the trees, the birdsong, the branches that bend and deflect the sunlight...
We welcome you to our home in the way that we Northerners know how, but also in the spirit of the people of this part of the Giffre valley, whose kindness will delight you.
And if, in the first light of dawn, when everyone else is asleep, you turn your eyes to the edge of the woods, with a bit of luck you might see the deer after which the chalet is named ...

“Would definitely go back”
This place was unreal! It is exactly like its photos. It was so peaceful, quiet and beautiful The host Vincent was brilliant! He was very responsive and tended to all our needs. I would definitely recommend this chalet and would definitely go back.
“Very nice and well-equipped house”
Very nice and well-equipped house. Located at the end of a road, so very private and nice.
“Really beautiful and of high quality!”
We had a great stay! Vincent made us feel very welcome and explained everything to us. He was contactable at all times and even came round when we needed anything. The accommodation is really beautiful and of high quality! There are so many possibilities in this accommodation. When it rains, you can always sit outside because the living room is covered. The kitchen is really well equipped. We have everything on site. You don't have to bring anything. The rooms are super spread out and each room has a private bathroom. It was really clean! The kids had a great time too! The accommodation offers plenty of entertainment for children, but not too intrusive for those without children. There is a climbing scaffold, trampoline, balls, badminton and even sledges for the winter. For the adults, there was the sauna and jacuzzi! Both are very easy to heat up. We drove for about 8 hours. It was well worth it. I'd love to come back!
