About the Area ...
When you stay at Chalet Chamaline, you're less than 1km from the pistes and just a short walk from the ski bus stop.
The bus, which links Le Grand Bornand to the other Aravis resorts of La Clusaz and La Croix Fry, runs every 15 minutes between Chinaillon and Le Grand Bornand, and is free to use with your Aravis ski pass. This covers more than 220km of pristine pistes, in the resorts of Le Grand Bornand, La Clusaz and Manigod, so there's plenty of challenge for skiers and boarders of all abilities.
There are also plenty of cross-country trails - Le Grand Bornand is renowned for its cross-country and Nordic trails and skiers will appreciate being able too join and leave the trails directly from Chalet Chamaline.
Non-skiers won't be bored either - try hiking or snowshoeing, paragliding, hot-air ballooning, ice-skating or ice-climbing. Le Grand Bornand boasts the Famille Plus mark, ensuring that there is always plenty of entertainment and activities for even the youngest visitors.
In the summer, a network of walking and biking trails criss-cross the slopes, and you can pick up a route map for either at the tourist office. Le Grand Bornand has a beautiful nine-hole golf course with a great driving range, and on those very hot days, why not head for the fantastic swimming pool complex, with a restaurant and grassy areas for picnics.
If you’re looking for something a little more challenging, there’s a climbing school, via ferrata routes, a tree-top adventure park, canyoning, white-water rafting and paragliding all nearby.
August sees the international children’s festival - Au Bonheur des Mômes - in Le Grand Bornand, a week of magic shows, circus acts, theatre, games and workshops, with a grand firework finale. It’s always hugely popular, so make sure you book Chalet Chamaline early to guarantee a holiday you’ll never forget!

The OVO Network Review
Chalet Chamaline is an unusual three-storey chalet for up to eight guests, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Set just on the edge of the popular mountain resort of Le Grand Bornand, it's close enough to walk to the shops, bars and restaurants, and with the ski bus stopping nearby, you can easily get to the neighbouring resorts of Chinaillon, La Clusaz and Le Croix Fry.
Built on the side of a hill, the chalet has been designed with split-level floors, which make for an interesting layout, but is not suitable for those with limited mobility.
There are four bedrooms - two double rooms (which can also be made up with twin beds) and two rooms each with two single beds. The bathrooms are situated on the ground and first floors.
There's also a children's play area on the top floor and a useful home office, perfect for those who'd like to extend their stay and work remotely.
The open-plan living area is a wonderfully social place to congregate. The kitchen has a breakfast bar and the dining table makes the most of the garden view.
The cosy seating and TV area is also has doors to the sunny terrace.
The outside spaces are at Chalet Chamaline are pretty special too - the large terrace has a dining area and a separate seating area. There's also a lawn and another area with a swingset for children - they'll have plenty of room to run around.
However, the garden is not enclosed, so younger children will need to be supervised.
Chalet Chamaline is a great choice for a group of friends or for families with children, enjoying proximity to the centre of Le Grand Bornand with wonderful outdoor spaces and superb views.

From the owner
Maxime & Celine
The Aravis mountains in summer, the Aravis mountains in winter.. We fell in love with this region and its wonderful natural setting.
When we came across Chalet Chamaline, cosy at the foot of the slopes in winter and a stone's throw from a lively village centre in summer, it was an obvious choice. For us, this place is all about peace, tranquillity and disconnection.
It's a pleasure we enjoy tenfold when we share it with family and friends.
That's the spirit in which we've designed our chalet. With space for everyone and a warm, welcoming living room, Chalet Chamaline is equipped so that all you have to think about is the here and now.
We look forward to welcoming you.
