Chalet Sabaroc...
This stunning newly-built chalet sleeps 11 people in five bedrooms, with three bathrooms. Situated between the mountain villages of La Giettaz and La Clusaz, guests staying at Chalet Sabaroc will find plenty to do in summer and winter.
It's a great choice for two or three families enjoying a holiday, or perhaps for a big family celebration. With a large open plan living area as well as a bar, it's an ideal place to create wonderful memories together!
Shops and restaurants can be found in La Giettaz, just over 2km away, and the ski bus stops 300m from the chalet. There are more restaurants, shops and bars in the busy village of La Clusaz, which is 8km from the chalet. The owner has made arrangements for snow to be cleared in the winter, so access to the main road should not be a problem.
About the property...
The stylish accommodation at Chalet Sabaroc is set over three floors. The entrance is to the first floor - there's access to the large double garage with plenty of room for storing bikes and skis, and a ski room with a heated boot rack. The hall has storage space as well as a toilet.
The first floor is also where you'll find the open plan living, dining and kitchen areas, with large windows and doors on to the spacious terrace which catches the sun on two sides of the chalet. The modern kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook up a feast for everyone, a large American-style fridge to keep the drinks cold, and a breakfast bar.
The dining table is big enough for everyone to eat together, and after your meal, why not curl up on the cosy sofas to watch a film, enjoy a nightcap in the bar area, or look at the stars from the warmth of the outdoor hot tub?
Four of the five bedrooms are on the garden level, and each has access to a terrace - summer or winter, opening the doors and letting in the mountain air is an invigorating way to start the day! Three of the bedrooms are doubles, and one, a children's room, has bunks and a single bed. There are 2 showers room, a separate toilet and a laundry room on this floor. The fourth bedroom also has an en suite shower room.
The fifth bedroom, a spacious master suite, is on the top floor. As well as its own large bathroom, this luxurious space also has a dressing room and access to a balcony with views that will take your breath away. There's a mezzanine area on this floor which overlooks the living area below.
The three floors are connected by a stylish wood and glass staircase, which enables light to flow between all the floors.
About the area...
Chalet Sabaroc is in an amazing location at the foot of the Aravis mountains, with splendid views across the valley. Its position just 2km from La Giettaz, on the road to La Clusaz, means there is easy access to a great choice of skiing in the winter, especially the Portes du Mont-Blanc, Evasion Mont-Blanc, La Clusaz ski resort and even the Espace Diamant.
The link from Le Plan to the ski areas of Combloux and Megève means skiers have lots of choice - more than 100km of pistes in the Portes du Mont Blanc area, and still more in the larger Evasion Mont Blanc area, which covers covering Megève, St-Gervais, Saint- Nicolas de Veroce and Les Contam. If you're still looking for more, you're just a short drive from the La Clusaz ski area, which has more than 200km of pistes.
There's just as much to do in the summer - choose from walking, climbing, mountain-biking, summer luge, picnics, or just enjoy the 360-degree views from the top of some of the ski lifts. The Col des Aravis, a familiar scene in the Tour de France, is also nearby.
The medieval town of Annecy is just 45km away - close enough for a day trip. Explore the narrow streets and canalside restaurants or enjoy a day on one of the lakeside beaches.

The OVO Network Review
Chalet Sabaroc is a five-bedroom, three-bathroom chalet for 10 people, with the accommodation set over three floors. It's in a great location for those who like to explore - it's just five minutes from the village of La Giettaz and just 10 minutes from the slopes.
You'll need a car when you stay at Chalet Sabaroc, and if you are visiting in the winter you will need to be equipped with snow chains or tyres, but there's plenty of reason to get out and about. The Col des Aravis is just five minutes drive away, and offers a choice of bars and restaurants as well as hiking and snow-shoe trails and dog sledding! Drive for another five minutes to reach the pistes at La Clusaz - the village is just a little further on.
The chalet enjoys a great location at the foot of the Aravis mountains - it's south facing so the lovely big garden and terrace is a real sun trap.
Inside, the spacious living room with separate seating areas makes it a great place for a group - you'll never be falling over each other! The large windows open on to the furnished terrace, where you can sunbathe, eat al fresco or simply enjoy the sublime view.
Chalet Sabaroc is a great choice for a group - it's a very sociable house, with plenty of room to get together, including the bar area. We think it would be great choice for an extended family reunion - even if that's just a fantastic mountain holiday together!

From the owner
Christine
We are very happy to welcome you to Chalet Sabaroc. The chalet is named after a restaurant on a little island in the British Virgin Islands, the Saba Rock, where we had a great time as a family.
We have loved the Aravis region for more than 30 years, and built our chalet in a protected area at the foot of the mountains, with a breathtaking view of the valley.
Chalet Sabaroc was built by local craftsmen using quality traditional materials: larch; old wood and stone from a nearby stream. It is insulated to the latest standards, making it very eco-friendly.
It is our second home, and furnished with care, so we hope you'll feel right at home.
The property is set in a friendly village, surrounded by magnificent Savoyard chalets at the foot of the Aravis mountains and the famous Col des Aravis, which separates Savoie from Haute Savoie. It is at the heart of an area which attracts visitors all year round - they come for the sports, nature, and gastronomy.
You can ski, go snow-shoe walking, dog sledding, biking in summer and winter, via ferrata, canyoning...
The chalet is surrounded by a huge choice of hiking trails, where you will come across marmots, sometimes chamois, and, in season you can collect mushrooms, blueberries and raspberries...
Make yourself at home for a week or more, and we hope that you have a great time!

“Mountain paradise for outdoor enthusiasts”
Our family of avid mountain bikers, road cyclists, and hikers all loved our 2 weeks at Chalet Sabaroc, as did the dogs! Extremely comfortable inside and beautiful outside too. Fabulous views from spacious balconies, hot tub, and garden area.
“Spacious, modern, well-equipped chalet”
Spacious, modern, well-equipped chalet, very pleasant for family living and, for lovers of peace and mountains, very well located. We will come back!
“Unforgettable family winter getaway”
This is our second time staying at this chalet. We had another amazing and fabulous winter vacation with our family. The chalet is very well equipped and spacious, with a great view of the mountains. It is also conveniently located close to Megève and the ski areas. We will definitely be visiting again next year:)
