With its sauna, sunny terrace and location close to the centre of the resort, this traditionally-styled chalet will provide you with the holiday of your dreams, whatever the season.
Chalet La Canopée is on the outskirts of La Giettaz, an authentic Alpine village which has managed to delight its visitors without losing any of its traditional charm. The shuttle bus stop is just around the corner, and you will be 4km away from the connection between Le Plan and Megève/Combloux.
You'll have a choice of two ski passes: one for Portes du Mont-Blanc, and one for the wider Évasion Mont-Blanc area. The La Clusaz ski area is just 12km away.
Summer activities include hiking, cycling in all its forms, summer sledging, climbing and paragliding. So you'll never run out of things to do in the mountains of La Giettaz.
About the property…
This well-appointed two-storey property on the outskirts of La Giettaz can accommodate 10 guests, with five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
You can enter Chalet La Canopée from the terrace, which brings you into the living area, or if you've been on the mountain, via the spacious ski room – there's plenty of storage for outdoor gear and you can pop your boots on the heated rack to have them ready for the next day.
The living room has two sofas, a TV, a wood-burning stove and a dining table. Two French windows open onto a garden, where a second table awaits you.
The many windows in this area let in plenty of natural light. The open-plan kitchen in one corner has an induction hob, coffee machines and all the appliances you need to prepare delicious Savoyard dinners.
This floor also has a shower room, a bathroom with whirlpool bath and two separate WCs. There is also a sauna, a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer, and a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room.
The stairs lead to a second living room on the spacious landing, where you can curl up on the sofa and watch TV, or enjoy a game of chess. There are four bedrooms on this floor, including two double rooms with balconies, another room with two single beds, and a bunk room for two. There is also a large shower room and separate toilet.
Chalet La Canopée has a covered outdoor parking area for two vehicles and further outdoor parking.
About the area…
Chalet La Canopée is in an exceptional location, with breathtaking views over the valley and the Aravis mountains and just a short walk from the centre of La Giettaz.
The link between Le Plan and the ski areas of Combloux and Megève means skiers and snowboarders can enjoy two superb ski areas: Les Portes du Mont-Blanc and Évasion Mont-Blanc. Between them, these two domains have more than 400km of pistes around the resorts of Megève, Saint-Gervais, Saint-Nicolas de Véroce and Les Contamines. The 200km of pistes at La Clusaz are also very close by.
Summer also brings its share of activities – not just walking and cycling, but also climbing, summer tobogganing and paragliding. There's plenty of opportunity to discover the natural beauty of the region, with its unique wildlife and impressive scenery, such as the Aravis pass.
For a change of scene, take a trip to Annecy (45km), a beautiful medieval city with a network of picturesque canals. On Lake Annecy, you can try your hand at a variety of water sports, take a mini-cruise, hire a boat or simply spend the day on the beach.

Set in the heart of the Aravis mountains, La Giettaz is a bit of a ‘well kept secret’
Skiers can choose to explore either Les Portes du Mont-Blanc, the domain Evasion Mont-Blanc or even L’Espace Diamant, offering something for all the family.
In the summer there are great mountain bike trails and walking routes, with a wealth of flora and fauna, plus a via ferrata.
Don’t miss stunning views of Mont Blanc and try some of the wonderful restaurants in this authentic mountain getaway.

Chalet La Canopée is a two-storey property for 10 with five bedrooms and four bathrooms. It's set in a secluded area of La Giettaz, overlooking the village.
There's a ski room with a heated boot dryer where you can leave your outdoor gear before relaxing in the sauna. Or you could head for the living room, where you'll find two cosy sofas, a TV, a wood-burning stove and a dining table.
The open-plan kitchen has everything you need, including an induction hob, two coffee machines and a dishwasher.
Two French windows let in plenty of light and open onto a garden, complete with a second dining table.
Also on this level is the first double bedroom, with a private shower room. There is also a bathroom with whirlpool bath, a second shower room, two separate toilets and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
There are four more bedrooms on the upper floor. These include a twin bedroom, two double bedrooms opening onto a balcony, and a room with a set of bunk beds.
There is also a large shower room, a separate WC and another sitting area with a television, sofa and chess set.
There is a covered parking area for two vehicles right next to the property.
Please note that Chalet La Canopée has many steps, and is therefore not the ideal choice for people with reduced mobility.

The chalet, with its sheltered terrace, allows you to relax in peace and quiet, and enjoy the superb views.
We love meeting up with family and friends in this large chalet, as you will too.
The chalet's location means you're just a short hop from the Portes du Mont-Blanc or La Clusaz ski slopes.
In fine weather, hiking trails are just around the corner.
The chalet is equipped to make you feel at home, like in a family home, for cosy moments and lovely memories.

A beautiful and comfortable chalet with ample space and high-quality construction.
Spacious bedrooms, large terraces, premium materials, and excellent soundproofing. The chalet also features 4 bathrooms, a stunning ski room, and a very enjoyable sauna.

This chalet was exactly what we were looking for. The photos and descriptions perfectly matched reality. There’s nothing missing in terms of kitchenware, and the bedding is very comfortable. The storage room downstairs is fantastic for keeping all the shoes and hiking gear. A little extra, but one that matters: towels and made-up beds upon arrival are included in the price. No parking issues either—you can easily park 3 (or 4) cars.
The location is ideal, with beautiful hikes nearby, no matter your preferred level of difficulty. It’s an excellent rental for families with children, as the outdoor space is fantastic, and the quiet cul-de-sac makes it very peaceful. The view is stunning. The host is easily reachable and helpful, and the person handling the key handover is friendly and also available during the stay in case of any issues.
We’re keeping this listing because we’ll definitely return. Highly recommended without hesitation!
