La Clusaz mountain biking options and piste map
The official mountain biking area, called Le Domain, consists of downhill, cross-country and all-mountain bike trails, as well as a new bike park! The area covers La Clusaz and Manigod, and there are of course many nearby pistes suitable for mountain biking that don't require lift access.
Details of bike washing stations and more bike track info below the MTB map.
Summer in La Clusaz is great for mountain bikers, with more than 100 km of MTB pistes available, and trials every level of mountain biker. The area is open every day from late June to early September, as well as some weekends before and after the summer (dates change every year, so check opening times before booking).
There are two bike washing stations — one at the bottom of the Beauregard telecabin and one at the bottom of the Merle chairlift. Both are equipped with repair kits.
All the trails have visible markers to help bikers navigate the tracks.
Every ability is catered for at Le Domain.
Beginners will love the green MTB trail, Le Dahu. It leads down to the summer bike park (situated where the family snow park is during winter), then through the forest back to town.
More competent mountain bikers might like to try the Sud Aravis cross-country track — an all-mountain blue of 10 km (elevation +60m / -510m).
Experienced MTBers will enjoy the challenge of the new advanced piste at Le Danay. This tall mountain between La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, this 13-kilometre circuit overlooks both ski resorts and provides beautiful 360° views of the French Alps. From the trail, you can also opt to drop down the valley into Le Grand Bornand and either cycle back to La Clusaz or catch the shuttle bus between the resorts.
For anyone in your group who needs a little help, electric bikes are available to rent in La Clusaz, along with a variety of mountain bikes. Discover the French Alps with all the freedom of a mountain bike and with the comfort of a motor to assist your ascents.
And now, you can book your mountain bike or road bike before you arrive and have it delivered to your door thanks to Val Sports!
