Chalet Tinatha

You can walk into La Clusaz from Chalet Tinatha - it takes 15-20 minutes to walk in, but it's uphill on the way back so may take a bit longer!

Chalet Tinatha sleeps eight guests, but if you are part of a larger group, you could consider booking it with its neighbouring property, Chalet Timan, giving a total capacity of 16. Both properties have the same owners.

About the property ...

Accommodation at Chalet Tinatha is set over five split-level floors.

You'll enter on the ground floor, where you'll find the gym, a WC  and plenty of storage space. There's a ski room on the lower floor, as well as the laundry room.

The beautiful open-plan living room is on the next floor up - the kitchen area is compact but well-equipped, with everything you need to cook for a hungry crowd. There's a breakfast bar as well as a dining area, where you can eat together. After dinner, relax on the cosy sofas to watch TV or plan your next day in the mountains.

There are doors from here out on to the spacious furnished terrace - there's a seating area where you can sit and watch for shooting stars, a dining table and of course, the hot tub, which is perfectly placed to make the most of the views.

There are two double bedrooms on the next level, both of which have en suite shower rooms, as well as a separate WC. You'll find the remaining two bedrooms on the top floor: another double and a twin room, both with en suite shower rooms.

Chalet Tinatha also has a double garage with a charging point for electric cars and two outside parking spaces.

About the area ...

When you stay at Chalet Tinatha, you’re perfectly placed to explore the whole of the La Clusaz/Le Grand Bornand area and the Aravis mountains, which are a great year-round destination.

In winter, you can ski straight into the village and with your Aravis ski pass, you have access to 220km of pistes and 95 lifts, so you will never be short of somewhere new to explore. There’s also great terrain for cross-country skiers at the nearby Beauregard and Confins plateaus.

Non-skiers will have no time to be bored, with an ice rink and cinema in La Clusaz, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. If you’re looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the village’s heated outdoor pool, while the snow falls gently around you.

There's just as much going on in the summer, and Chalet Tinatha's position on the edge of La Clusaz means you won’t need a car to enjoy everything the mountains have to offer.

Hike into the Col des Aravis, or let the telecabine ferry you and your bike to the top, so you can come back down at your own pace. Other activities available in the area include horse-riding, climbing, via ferrata and paragliding. The mountains around La Clusaz are criss-crossed with tracks and paths, so there is somewhere new to discover.

The beautiful lakeside town of Annecy is just 30 minutes away by car, and is a great destination for a day out. The lake is said to be the cleanest in Europe and in the summer it’s a lovely place for water sports, cycling, swimming or you can just hire a boat and explore the lakeside beaches.
