There's also tandem paragliding (taking off on skis!), plenty of cross-country skiing, ice skating, bowling, sledging, night skiing and lot of other family-friendly sports to enjoy during winter.
What many of our winter visitors don't know is that La Clusaz is just as busy in summer. Kids love the weekly activities on offer while parents can enjoy a multitude of holiday options from sports to relaxation — and always with gourmet dining options and breathtaking views of the French Alps.

The French Alps boast a vast array of flora and fauna — all accessible by foot. Hike to one of the many refuges and enjoy a traditional Savoyarde lunch, or take one of the chairlifts or telecabins up and enjoy the walk down, stopping to pick berries along the way.

The local villages around La Clusaz are gorgeous, traditional French mountain villages, perfect for strolling around on a hot summer's day, or stopping for afternoon tea to enjoy the mountain views.
La Clusaz and its neighbouring village Le Grand Bornand have more than 300 shops, with even more in the nearby villages Annecy. Take a little memento home with you in the form of hand-made pottery, woodwork or home decorations. There is something for every taste.
Transfer time from Geneva airport is under an hour, so you can save on travel time and enjoy more of the mountains. The scenery along the way is beautiful too.
Play golf or mini-golf, go horse riding, try the summer toboggan runs, slip down the waterslides, enjoy the gorgeous views from outdoor swimming pools, try your hand at archery, fly above La Clusaz in a hot air balloon, go ice skating, play tennis or visit the gym. Buy fresh produce from a farm, such as cheese, eggs and butter, or visit a restaurant to sample local dishes such as fondue, raclette and tartiflette. Finish off your meal with genepi — the local tipple made from herbs! Fine diners will find plenty of restaurants to choose from too, including some Michelin star restaurants.
La Clusaz and the surrounding villages offer a huge range of activities especially for kids over summer, and most of them are free. Typical activities include mini high ropes, mini bike trials, birds of prey exhibitions, trampolines, supervised trapeze trials and much more.
Why flock to the busy beaches in the south of France when you can enjoy secluded, sunny, warm days in the mountains or head to the relaxed beaches of Lake Annecy, Europe's cleanest lake?
La Clusaz has been a farming village much longer than a ski resort, and is one of the few places where Reblochon cheese — famed for making tartiflette so delicious — can be made. But don't forget to sample the other excellent cheeses made here, including Tomme de Savoie, Chevrotin, Tomme Blanche and Emmental and fresh goats cheeses.
Popular with French families, La Clusaz has activities for every age group. Kids are of course spoilt for choice, and adults aren't forgotten either. Thrill-seeking adults and kids can choose from mountain biking, paragliding, via ferrata and climbing within La Clusaz, plus the nearby Bun-J Ride bungee jump, high ropes, canyoning, diving, road biking, and more. Those after a slower pace of sports can enjoy golf, mountain hikes to refuges, flora and fauna walks, swimming in the outdoor swimming pool and yoga.
For those seeking serenity, take your pick of massages, saunas and jacuzzis. If you book a chalet with a pool, you can enjoy the views poolside from your chalet nestled between trees out of town, listening to the sounds and scents of the mountains.
