About Chalet Timan ...
This five-star chalet for eight people in La Clusaz is also in a five-star location - it's just a 15-20 minute walk downhill to all the shops, bars and restaurants of La Clusaz (but remember it's uphill on the way back).
In winter, you can ski back to the chalet after a day on the mountain by going straight down the Beauregard piste.
The fabulous view over the mountains and the village must be one of the best in the area, and with the ski bus stopping just 150m away and the main bus station 800 m away, it's easy to explore this beautiful area without a car.
Summer or winter, there is so much to do in La Clusaz and the surrounding villages, and Chalet Timan is a great place to start.
The property ...
Set over three floors, there is plenty of room for eight people at Chalet Timan.
The main living area is on the first floor. The large, high-ceilinged seating area has cosy sofas and a wall of windows which makes the most of the wonderful mountain light as well as the stunning view over the village. There are two dining areas and a fully-fitted kitchen that makes cooking a delight.
There are also three bedrooms on this floor - a twin room and a double room each with en suite shower rooms and a large double with an en suite bathroom.
The fourth bedroom - a double with an en suite shower room and separate toilet - is on the second floor, perfect for those who enjoy their privacy!
The spa and fitness area is on the ground floor: tackle the treadmill or the exercise bike, enjoy a game of ping pong or table football, or just relax in the sauna! The laundry is also on this floor, and there is access to the double garage, which has plenty of room to store all your outdoor gear.
The sunny terrace wraps around two sides of the chalet, so it's easy to find a sunny spot for your lounger. There's also a seating area, a barbecue and a large dining table where you can eat out on long summer evenings.
About the area ...
When you stay at Chalet Timan, you’re perfectly placed to explore the whole of the La Clusaz/Le Grand Bornand area and the Aravis mountains, which are a great year-round destination.
In winter, you can ski straight into the village and with your Aravis ski pass, you have access to 220km of pistes and 95 lifts, so you will never be short of somewhere new to explore. There’s great terrain for cross-country skiers at the nearby Beauregard and Confins plateaus.
Non-skiers will have no time to be bored, with an ice-skating rink and cinema in La Clusaz, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. If you’re looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the village’s heated outdoor pool, while the snow falls gently around you.
There's just as much going on in the summer, and Chalet Timan's position on the edge of La Clusaz means you won’t need a car to enjoy everything the mountains have to offer.
Hike into the Col des Aravis, or let the telecabine ferry you and your bike to the top, so you can come back down at your own pace. Other activities available in the area include horse-riding, climbing, via ferrata and paragliding. The mountains around La Clusaz are criss-crossed with tracks and paths, so there is somewhere new to discover.
The beautiful lakeside town of Annecy is just 30 minutes away by car, and is a great destination for a day out. The lake is said to be the cleanest in Europe and in the summer it’s a lovely place for water sports, cycling, swimming or you can just hire a boat and explore the lakeside beaches.
If you just want to relax, why not soak up the sun on the sunny terrace at Chalet Timan, or catch up with friends and family over a barbecue, as the sun sets behind the mountains.

Chalet Timan can comfortably accommodate eight people on three floors. Its location on the Beauregard piste gives it one of the best village views in the resort.
Just 700m from the skating rink and the centre of the village, the whole family can make the most of their stay in La Clusaz. The location is ideal in winter for skiers, but also in summer for hikers and mountain bikers.
The terraces are very well equipped for a drink as you admire the view, or you could relax in the sun.
There are four separate en suite bedrooms. The living room is very spaceous, and there's an open-plan kitchen and a large table where you can enjoy a meal together.
While some of you chat aroud the fire, others can enjoy the sauna on the lower level. Fitness enthusiasts can take to the treadmill while others enjoy the table football.
There's room for two cars in the garages, as well as your bikes, pushchairs, skis etc. The owners are also planing to add a home cinema.
Summer and winter, there is so much to do in this area, with a packed programme of events organised whatever the season. Chalet Timan allows you to enjoy as many activities as you like, or you can enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the chalet.
The ski-in / ski-out location, the high level of comfort and the superb view make Chalet Timan one of the best choices for a truly exceptional La Clusaz experience.

When we found the ideal site on the edge of the Beauregard ski slopes, with a dream view, we, our architects and decorators, really enjoyed designing and finishing this chalet which is both contemporary and traditional. Natural wood and stone; large bay windows; large rooms and south-facing living areas; quality materials and soothing colours all combine to make it a place where everyone can relax and enjoy the mountains.
