About Chalet Pajules ...
With fabulous views over the valley and the Beaufortain mountains beyond, you could be forgiven for thinking that Chalet Pajules is a long way from anywhere!
In fact, it's less than 10 minutes from the ski station of Valmorel itself. One of the newest ski stations in France, Valmorel was established in the 1970s, and is very different from older ski resorts. You won't find any high rise concrete hotels here - the village has a traditional chalet-style look, with a traffic-free square with a great choice of shops, bars and restaurants.
If you'd rather not drive, the Valmobus ski bus stops just 100m from the door of Chalet Pajules but please note it runs only once per hour.
Summer or winter, there is plenty to see and do when you stay at Chalet Pajules.
NOTE: guests at chalet Pajules will be offered 20% discount on their ski rental at Sport 2000 shop in Valmorel (and 10% discount on all clothes).
The property ...
The accommodation at this contemporary 3 star chalet is set over three floors. As you enter on the ground floor, the garage is on your left, and has all the room you need to store bikes, skis or pushchairs. There's a large cupboard in the hall where you can hang up your outdoor clothes ready for the next day, and a bootwarmer means you're always ready to hit the slopes. There's also a utilty room on this floor with a washing machine, dryer, and a sauna - the perfect place to relax after a busy day on the mountain.
The main living area is on the next floor, making the most of the fabulous mountain views. The well-equipped dining kitchen is at one end of the L-shaped area, with a large seating area across the front of the chalet, with access to the spacious terrace - a great place for an apero, or maybe a barbecue.
There's also a stylish double bedroom on this floor, with an en suite shower room and a separate toilet.
The remaining four bedrooms are on the top floor - three cosy double rooms, one of which has an en suite shower room, and a children's room with bunk beds, a television and room to play. The two rooms at the front of the chalet have floor to ceiling windows which flood them with light in the mornings. A shower room and a separate toilet complete this floor.
There is parking for three cars in front of the chalet, and room for another in the garage. Guest will appreciate the secure bike storage available in the garage.
About the area ...
Chalet Pajules is just 10 minutes away from the charming ski village of Valmorel, in the Tarentaise, and just five minutes from the nearest ski lift. The Valmorel, Doucy Combelouvière and Saint François Longchamp ski area, known as the Grand Domaine, boasts 50 ski lifts, more than 340 snow cannons and 15 snow parks, with a boarder cross course, free ride and slope style areas, as well as heli-skiing.
There's plenty for non-skiers too - choose from snowshoeing, paragliding, ice climbing, hiking and Nordic trails, as well as quad biking, airboarding, and tobogganing! If you'd rather just relax and take it easy, maybe a spa day at the Valmoforme well-being centre or Spa Cîmes is for you. Both offer a great range of massage and beauty treatments, as well as a spa area and gym area and tisanerie.
The ESF ski school in Valmorel offers ski lessons for all ages as well as a Piou-Piou club, where three and four-year-olds can find their ski legs in a supervised snow garden.
In summer, the snowy slopes are replaced by lush green pastures perfect for hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, rock climbing and much more. The hike to the summit of Crève-Tête will reward you with fabulous views, or there's a fabulous waterfall walk from Valmorel - visit the tourist office for maps and information.
The museum of traditional life in nearby Quarante Planes is an interesting day out, and the Magicadventure high ropes park in Valmorel has ziplines, giant nets and courses for all ages. If you fancy exploring a bit further afield, why not enjoy a relaxing day and take the water at the Thermes de Brides-les-Bains, a mountain spa centre just 16km from Valmorel.
The historic town of Albertville, which hosted the winter Olympics in 1992, and the nearby medieval city of Conflans, are a 30-minute drive from Chalet Pajules.

The OVO Network Review
Chalet Pajules can accommodate 10 guests comfortably, with an area of 140m² over three floors. There are five bedrooms and three shower rooms.
Situated on the road which leads to the Valmorel ski station, just five minutes from the slopes, this property has a great view over the valley, with the Beaufortain mountains beyond.
In summer, those who love the mountains will enjoy the hike to Crève-Tête, the magnificent summit of Valmorel.
Chalet Pajules is new, one of several chalets built recently in this area. The two terraces are lovely places to sit out with friends and family, whatever the time of day.
The sauna area, which will be finished in time for the launch, will be a real bonus after a day skiing.
There are five bedrooms, two of which have en suite shower rooms, and there is a separate toilet on each floor. Children are not forgotten, with a TV corner and a selection of games in the children's bedroom.
The kitchen is a sociable space, with a dining table for 10 and windows which open on to the terrace, where you can enjoy a barbecue in summer. The two sitting areas mean everyone can relax and enjoy the view.
There are parking spaces in front of the chalet, and a large garage where you can leave a car as well as your skis, bikes, and pushchairs. The owners are passionate about the mountains and have installed large cupboards and a boot warmer in the entrance for all your outdoor gear.
Just 30 minutes drive from Albertville and close to the great ski domaines of the Tarentaise, Chalet Pajules is just as interesting in summer as well as winter, promising a great mountain holiday with family or friends. From the owner
Thibaut
Our dream was to have a beautiful chalet in the mountains so that we could enjoy wonderful holidays with our loved ones. In 2008, we discovered the magnificent Valmorel valley, surrounded by the Lauziere mountains and the Tarentaise and Beaufortain ski resorts, and we fell in love.
We love trail running, skiing and walking, so this is the perfect place for us.
We never tire of it, summer or winter.
We designed our chalet to be part of its natural environment. Simple, cosy and authentic, it is a haven of well-being, perfect for sharing with friends old and young.
We built it to share it with others, and we hope that you will feel at home here.
