Le Grand Capricia...
Just 50m from the ski lift in the heart of La Clusaz, this ski-in, ski-out duplex apartment for eight is just a short walk from all the village's shops, bars and restaurants as well as the shuttle bus. Park your car up in the garage when you arrive and forget about it!
Le Grand Capricia is one of two apartments in a building, which are separated by the garage floor so there is very little noise transfer. It has great views of the pistes and the ESF ski school – you can sit on the terrace and watch your children enjoy their ski lessons! It also overlooks Champ Giguet, which hosts village events throughout the year.
This well-appointed apartment also has a gym with a treadmill, weights bench and cross trainer, as well as a sauna, whirlpool bath and ski room.
Groups of up to 16 guests can book Le Grand Capricia with Le Petit Capricia – the apartment on the ground floor – which sleeps eight.
About the property...
Le Grand Capricia is a charming two-storey apartment for eight with four bedrooms and three bath/shower rooms. It also has a small spa area with a sauna and a whirlpool bath.
The entrance to Le Grand Capricia is on the garage floor, where you'll find a garage and a ski room. There's also a gym with a treadmill, weights bench and an exercise bike, so you can warm up before you head out onto the mountains.
Take the stairs up to the first floor and the homely, light-filled living area. Two sofas are positioned in front of the gas fire, perfect for cosy nights in, and there are glass doors on each side to the terrace and the balcony. The stylish kitchen has all the equipment you need to cater for your group, and there's a breakfast bar where you can grab a quick snack or keep the cook company. When dinner is ready, there's room for everyone to eat together at the dining table, which has bench seating and chairs.
This floor is also where you'll find the whirlpool bath and sauna, where you can relax after a busy day in the mountains.
The covered terrace on the west side of the chalet overlooks the village – it's a lovely place to have an early morning coffee and watch the world wake up. On warm evenings you can eat out here and watch the lights come on in the village as the sun goes down.
The first of the bedrooms is on this floor – this double room has an en-suite shower room and doors to a balcony. There's also a separate WC on this floor and a relaxing spa area with a whirlpool bath and a sauna.
Head upstairs to find the rest of the bedrooms, located under the eaves (please refer to the photos). The first bedroom has a double bed and storage under the eaves. It also has a shower and washbasin. There's another room with a double bed with a desk for remote working, and the final bedroom has two single beds and a desk. All of these rooms are tucked under the eaves so have limited headroom. There's also a shower room on this floor and a separate WC.
There's room to park one car (or two small cars) in the garage at Le Grand Capricia, and room for two other cars outside.
About the area...
With the lifts on your doorstep and an Aravis ski pass, you have access to 220km of pistes and 95 lifts, so you will never be short of somewhere new to explore. There’s great terrain for cross-country skiers at the nearby Confins and Beauregard plateaux.
It's a great location for non-skiers too, with the neighbouring ice-skating rink and a cinema in La Clusaz, as well as sledging, snow-shoe walking, dog-sledding and sleigh rides. If you’re looking for the ultimate in relaxation, let your cares float away in the village’s heated outdoor pool, while the snow falls gently around you.
There's just as much going on in the summer, and when you stay at Le Grand Capricia, you won’t need a car to enjoy everything the mountains have to offer.
Hike into the Col des Aravis, or let the telecabine ferry you and your bike to the top, so you can come back down at your own pace. Other activities available in the area include horse-riding, climbing, via ferrata and paragliding. The mountains around La Clusaz are criss-crossed with tracks and paths, so there is always somewhere new to discover.
The beautiful lakeside town of Annecy is just 30 minutes away by car, and is a great destination for a day out. The lake is said to be the cleanest in Europe and in the summer it’s a lovely place for water sports, cycling, swimming or you can just hire a boat and explore the lakeside beaches.

Le Grand Capricia is a four-bedroom duplex apartment for eight, with three bath/shower rooms and a spa area with a whirlpool bath and a sauna.
If you want to be in the centre of all the action, you'll struggle to find a better location – this apartment has a terrace and a balcony, which between them share views of the lifts, the ski school and the Champ Giguet, which is the venue for many of La Clusaz's events in the summer and winter. All the shops, bars and restaurants are just a short walk away.
The apartment takes up the top two floors of this building. On the ground floor (shared with Le Petit Capricia), Le Grand Capricia has a garage (for one car or two small cars) with a ski room, a gym and the stairs to the first floor.
The open-plan living area has a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, a dining table with chairs and a bench and a cosy seating area with two sofas and a TV. A log-effect gas fire adds to the atmosphere.
There are doors on one side to the covered terrace, which is the perfect place for an apero and a bit of people-watching. Doors on the other side of the living room open onto the balcony, where you can watch the cable cars travelling up and down the mountain.
There's a small spa area on this floor, with a whirlpool bath and a sauna where you can relax at the end of the day. There's also a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a separate WC.
Three more bedrooms can be found on the top floor – two double rooms, one with a shower and washbasin and another with a desk. There's also a twin room, a shower room and a separate WC.
Headroom is limited on this floor as the rooms are tucked under the eaves.
As well as the garage, there is space to park two other cars outside the apartment.

“High standard chalet with views”
This chalet is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. There is a lovely balcony with great views. The location is also fantastic with just a short walk into La Clusaz which is a center with good facilities, restaurants, bars, etc., and the hub for many summer mountain activities. Be aware of the lower ceiling height in the 3 top bedrooms.
