Holiday Sales Consultant - French Alps

(Bilingual French/English)

Position Overview

As an OVO Network Holiday Sales Consultant, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests and agents, handling enquiries via LiveChat, email, and phone. Your focus will be on converting these enquiries into bookings while ensuring clear, accurate, and friendly communication. Working closely with our Guest Sales Team Leader, you’ll provide timely responses, escalate complex issues as needed, and maintain great attention to detail.

Location: Remote (UK-base preferred)*
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Hours: Flexible, with some evening and weekend shifts required
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 dependent on experience (or local equivalent)

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle Guest Enquiries: Respond to incoming guest and partner enquiries via LiveChat (soon to be superseded by WhatsApp Business), email, and phone, providing quotes, booking information, and property and destination details.
  • Convert Enquiries to Bookings: A key focus for this role is on converting enquiries into bookings through attentive follow-ups and prompt responses, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This includes following up on leads, giving personalised property recommendations, and knowing how to address common queries or concerns. 
  • Complaint Handling: Address basic guest service issues and complaints, escalating to the Guest Sales Team Lead as needed.
  • System Entry and Data Accuracy: Enter booking information and updates into our bespoke back-office systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure Quality Communication: Use tools like DeepL and ChatGPT for translations to communicate effectively in both French and English.
  • Weekend and Evening Cover: Working with your colleagues you will ensure there is a rota in place to cover periods of high guest demand. 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in both written and spoken French and English, with strong written skills in French.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated accuracy in data entry and information management.
  • Customer Service Skills: Experience in a guest or customer-facing role, with the ability to handle simple guest issues diplomatically.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfort with various online tools and platforms; familiarity with OTA systems (e.g., Airbnb, Booking.com) is helpful but not essential.
  • Sales Orientation: Motivation to meet or exceed enquiry-to-booking conversion targets.
  • Product Knowledge: Whilst not essential, an understanding of our Alpine destinations and the activities that take place in both winter and summer would be an advantage. 
  • Cultural Fit: An affinity for the Alps and a belief in the positive impact of great service on guest experiences.

Freelance Distribution Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a Freelance Distribution Manager to support the OVO Network team in maintaining our property listings across OTAs. This part-time, remote role focuses on assisting with onboarding, troubleshooting, and optimising property distribution to ensure smooth operations and high-quality listings. This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail, familiarity with OTA platforms, and the ability to manage tasks efficiently while working independently.

Location: Remote
Hours: Approx. 80 hours/month, flexible depending on demand
Compensation: £20/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Property Onboarding:
    • Assist with onboarding new properties onto OTAs, ensuring all details (descriptions, photos, amenities) are accurate and complete.
    • Verify that new listings are live and properly integrated into OVO Network’s internal systems.
  • Listing Maintenance:
    • Support regular updates to content, photos, and descriptions across OTAs to ensure listings remain accurate and appealing.
    • Conduct periodic checks to maintain consistency and quality of all listings.
  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
    • Act as a first point of contact for property listing issues, resolving them efficiently through BookingSync/Smily or liaising with relevant OTA support teams.
    • Provide basic support to OVO Network’s team on OTA-related queries.
  • Google My Business Support:
    • Assist with the management of Google My Business profiles, including onboarding new properties, verifying listings, and updating content as required.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work alongside the Distribution Team to support the overall optimisation of property listings.
    • Liaise with wider team to assist with ad hoc distribution-related tasks and ensure smooth communication between stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Familiarity with OTA platforms like Booking.com or Airbnb. Experience with channel managers such as BookingSync/Smily is a strong plus.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for accuracy and consistency in property listings.
    • Tech-Savvy: Confident navigating online tools and learning new systems quickly.
    • Proactive: Able to identify and resolve issues independently.
    • Strong Communicator: Comfortable handling queries and providing clear updates to stakeholders.
    • Organised: Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines reliably.
