Taxi
The quickest, most direct option to get from Geneva Airport to Annecy is by taxi.
There are usually plenty of cars readily waiting at the airport, but if you’d rather book in advance for peace of mind, here are some local contacts you can call ahead of time:
Train
If you’re travelling alone and don’t want to pay a taxi fare just for yourself, the train is a good option as well. To get the train from Geneva Airport to Annecy, you will need to board the train to Geneva and then get a further train on to Annecy. Not all trains are direct, so make sure to check where you will have to change on the SNCF site when booking.
To get from the train station to the Impérial Palace, you can Sibra buses 5, L or N, and then walk 3 minutes from the bus stop to the hotel.

Bus
To get between Geneva Airport and Annecy by bus you can take the T72, or the Flixbus. Depending on what time you set off, prices and journey times may vary. For more information visit the sites below:
Car Hire
If you are planning on venturing further than Annecy throughout your stay, hiring a car may be a good decision. Just bear in mind that when driving from Switzerland to France, if you choose to take the motorway, you will need a ‘vignette’. This is compulsory for all motor vehicles up to 3.5t, is valid for 14 months (1 December – 31 January of the following year) and costs 38.50€.
Parking in Annecy
There are plenty of places to park in Annecy, but it’s important to bear in mind that during peak times (summer months), parking can get extremely busy and can cost a fair bit if you are leaving your car there for an extended amount of time.
The closest parking to the Impérial Palace is situated right next to the hotel, just behind the main road.
