The Evasion Mont Blanc is home to picturesque resorts such as Saint-Gervais, Combloux and La Giettaz, as well as the glamorous Megève. While they may be better known for their world-class skiing, come in summer and you’ll find fabulous activities and entertainment waiting for you.

Enjoy shopping at one of the area’s local markets, where you can find everything from fresh produce and charcuterie to pottery and handmade gifts.

Farm Visits
In most resorts, you’ll be able to visit some of the local farms and try the cheeses. You’ll get a fascinating insight into the traditions of the mountains and you’ll be able to buy some cheese to enjoy at home.
Dive In!
In Saint-Gervais you’ll find a fabulous swimming pool complex, with an outdoor pool, a 25m pool with underwater speakers and a leisure pool suitable for families. There’s also a wellness area with a sauna and hammam.
If you’re in Megève head for Le Palais Megève, an aquatic centre with an outdoor Olympic pool, an indoor swimming pool, an indoor paddling pool, a sauna and a Turkish bath.
While in Combloux, relax by the biotope lake. Facing Mont Blanc, the lake’s waters are naturally filtered and offer a fantastic outdoor swimming pool with a difference.

Rally – 35th Alps Cup
Date: June 13th
Location: Megève
This classic sports car rally comes to Megève, with cars dating from 1950 to 1986. Covering 1,000km and 18 mountain passes, the rally crosses the Alps from Evian to Cannes. A great spectacle for all the family.
Criterium du Dauphiné
Date: June 8th
Location: La Giettaz, Crest Voland
The 7th stage of this famous bike ride passes through La Giettaz, heading for the finish line in Crest-Voland. It’s a great spectacle, so be sure to find a good viewing point!
Megève Mont Blanc Cycling
Date: June 9th
Location: Megève
A fantastic weekend of cycling events, with something for almost all ages. This year, five disciplines are represented – a cycling challenge, a gravel bike race, an e-bike tour, a kids race and the ‘Phénoménale’! If you love cycling, come and join in.
La Comblorane
Date: June 8th & 9th
Location: Combloux
The 28th edition of this trail race comes to Combloux, with three timed races of 7, 25 and 42km, through forests and mountain pastures. There will also be a canicross race for runners and their dogs, an obstacle course for families and mini trails for children.
Aravis Bike Tour
Date: June 9th – 14th
Location: La Giettaz
Come and discover the best of this beautiful part of the Alps, with five days of cycling. There are two different levels – ‘loisir’ and ‘performance’, so you can choose what’s best for you!
10th Rally Megève to Saint Tropez
Date: June 10th – 13th
Location: Megève
This 900km rally gets a makeover for its 10th anniversary. The route will take drivers from the tops of the greatest French passes, to the heart of Luberon and Verdon before heading to St Tropez. The cars arrive in Megève on 10 June, and set off for L’Alpe d’Huez the following day.
Euro Nordic Walk
Date: June 14th to 16th
Location: Megève
Try Nordic walking on themed routes, suitable for a range of levels, in the heart of Megève. There are also conferences and workshops where you can exchange ideas and meet new people, followed by the traditional Nordic Walking Parade.
St Jean Bonfire Night
Date: June 22nd
Location: Megève
Join in the fun and discover the local traditions at this fun event, with a lantern parade, bonfire and folk music taking place in the centre of the village.
Arly Cimes Trail
Date: June 23rd
Location: Crest Voland/Cohennoz
Enjoy this wonderful event which offers three running events in the heart of nature. Check the website for the latest information on the routes and times.
MB Race
Date: June 28th – 30th
Location: Megève, Combloux, La Giettaz
This incredible mountain bike race offers competitors plenty of challenges! The longest one-day mountain biking event, it’s 140km in length with riders climbing 7,000 metres. But there are plenty of other races for all levels, including the MB Kids and the MB FTT – a 20km race for riders with reduced mobility.
Cuisine Mon Village

Discover delicious local specialities at this foodie event, with workshops for kids also available. With demonstrations by some of the region’s best chefs, bakers, pastry chefs, butchers and producers, this gourmet festival is a must for all food lovers!

The Megève International Showjumping Competition
Date: July 6th – 14th
Location: Megève
Taking place at the Sports Centre, this event will see more than 500 horses and riders from all around the world compete. Entrance is free for spectators.
Baroque festival
Date: July 19th
Location: Saint-Gervais
Enjoy a series of concerts at the 26th edition of this musical festival celebrating the Baroque era. The theme this year is “Light and Shadows”, often used to symbolise good and evil, truth and ignorance or truth and lies. There will be music from Bach, Handel, and Vivaldi, who used these contrasts to create dramatic effects in their music.
National Festival

Enjoy music from DJ Jay Will and refreshments provided by the local fireman. But make sure you take your seats by 10.15pm for the firework display at the Chatelet. More information here.
Megève Jazz Competition

Enjoy warm summer evenings and fantastic jazz music at this weekend New Orleans-style competition between six jazz bands playing their music throughout the village.
Megève Blues Festival

This fabulous music festival returns for its 10th edition, with performances by Vanessa Collier, Mr Sipp, Shemekia Copeland, The Devon Allman Project and many more The growing success of the festival means that this year it will be based in the Palace Esplanade.
Megève Nature Trail

Not a gentle stroll through nature but a weekend of trail running, with several events for all ages, all with great views and a backdrop of Mont Blanc. Distances vary from 8 to 43km, and if you’re really keen, you can do one each day! Find out more here.

La Grande Bambée – Trail Marathon

If you love running, why not come and try this mountain trail run? With three different races, covering 16km, 28km and 44km, and with some challenging mountain terrain, there’s a great atmosphere.
The Gourmet Hike

This wonderful event is back for its 3rd edition. Sign up for the 10km walk through Combloux and its villages, discovering the local foods and landscapes on the way.
